Off-duty cop, civilian injured in Eidgah grenade blast

Srinagar, Nov 10: A policeman on leave and a civilian were injured in a grenade attack at Aalimasjid Eidgah in central Kashmir’s Srinagar on Wednesday.

Quoting official sources, news agency GNS reported that militants hurled the grenade near CRPF’s 161 battalion camp, injuring a policeman who was in civvies and on leave besides a civilian.

   

The civilian identified as Aijaz Ahmad Bhat, 41, son of Ghulam Nabi Bhat of Hawal and the policeman, Sajad Ahmad Bhat of Narwara Eidgah, were shifted to SMHS hospital.

As per the sources, the civilian has injury in left side of face and left arm while the policeman has suffered injuries in left foot and their condition is stable.
