Regional Passport Officer Srinagar today informed all applicants applying for the passport to apply online only on registered passport website www.passportindia.gov.in while cautioning against any fake website.
In an official handout, the Passport Office said that someapplicants applying for passport online have observed and informed their officethat some fictitious and fake website have been opened, where applicants aremade to update their details and make online payments and are losing theirmoney.
It informed that passport fee for fresh /re-issue normalpassport is Rs 1500 and for lost/damage fee is Rs 3000 only.
