A police-public meeting was held in police station Pantha Chowk, here on Wednesday where a series of issues including those of public importance were discussed.
The meeting chaired by sub-divisional police officer Pantha Chowk Aijaz Mir.
Station house officer Rayees Ahmed was also present in the meeting in which elderly people of the area and also those involved in stone quarrying, were also present.
"We sought public cooperation in resolving the issues that include traffic mess at Pantha Chowk, drug abuse, gambling and other social crimes in the area. Besides, we discussed ways and means of resolving other issues confronting locals," the SDPO said. "We assured locals of the area that police and public will work in a close coordination and all issues will be resolved amicably," he added.
