Police Public meetings were held in respective jurisdictional area of police stations Nigeen and Soura today.
At Nigeen, the meeting was held at bus stand Hazratbal inwhich transporters participated. The meeting was chaired by SHO Nigeen.
Another Police Public meeting was held at Police StationSoura in which community members of Anchar and Soura participated. The meetingwas chaired by SHO Soura.
“The main aim of these meetings was to interact withcommunity members. During these meetings various social issues including socialcrimes, drug menace and other grievances were raised,” police spokespersonsaid in a statement.
“The participants were assured that the issuespertaining to police will be solved in shortest possible time and the rest willbe taken up with concerned authorities for their speedy redressal,” thestatement said.
“Officers chairing meeting also requested communitymembers for cooperation to eradicate the social crimes from the society. Civilsociety members hailed this gesture of police and assured support inmaintaining harmony and eradicating other social evils as well,” it added.
