Rangreth residents decry dilapidated roads

Residents of Rangreth area here today expressed resentment over failure of authorities to undertake repairs of dilapidated roads in the area. 

A delegation from the area said the road from Hill View Colony to Rangreth market is dotted with potholes—causing inconvenience to hundreds of commuters and residents. The locals and commuters complained that the R&B Chadoora division has not repaired the road despite many complaints.

   

The road link is an important passage as it is lone connectivity link to Industrial Estate Rangreth. Locals and commuters also complained that potholes have caused several accidents on the Rangreth road. 

Drivers of public transport vehicles said that the risk of accidents has increased on the road as they find it difficult to negotiate several potholes.

 “It is ironical that the Roads and Buildings department has failed to undertake repairs of the road. Our vehicles have been damaged due to dilapidated road and we are mulling legal action against the department to seek compensation,” said a delegation from Bazar committee Rangreth.
