Sheikh Imran, an independent corporator backed by Congress, was on Tuesday elected Deputy Mayor Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC).
Earlier, Peoples Conference candidate, Junaid Azim Matoo was elected as the Mayor of the corporation.
Officials said that Imran won the election by one vote.
While Imran bagged 35 votes his opponent polled 34 votes, said an official.
