Residents of Lane 5 Shivpora have appealed Badami Bagh Cantonment authorities to reconstruct locality stair there.
A delegation from the area led by Sheikh Khalid Iqbal saidthe stair connecting the lane through Batwara bund was damaged in floods in2014. “Despite passing of fiveyears, the stair has not been repaired or reconstructed yet. The damaged stairposes risk of injuries especially to children and elderly. In absence ofrepairs, the locals are forced to take alternate routes,” the locals said.
“We hope that the concerned authorities will takeimmediate measures to reconstruct the damaged stair,” they said.
