While state government has implemented 7th pay commission benefits to its employees, the Srinagar Municipal Corporation has failed to revise pension of its former employees as per the new guidelines.
The SMC pensioners complained that while employees of the corporation have been bestowed with benefits under the pay commissioner, they have been left out.
“We have been knocking every door in the administration to redress our issue. But instead of resolving our problem, officials are using dilly-dally tactics,” said a delegation of pensioners adding their file have been cleared by the finance department.
The pensioners urged Governor NN Vohra and his advisors issue direction for resolving their grievance.
