Continuing its efforts to sanitization various areas here, Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) Sunday sanitized several Childcare Homes and other places of public importance.
Commissioner SMC, GazanfarAli said the sanitization drive was conducted at Observation Home in Harwan,Shiekh-ul-Alam Yateem Trust in Jawahar Nagar, Markazi Falahi Atfal in Shalimar,Markazi Falahi Mastoorat in Shalimar, Baitul Banat in Haftchinar and GujjarBakerwal Hostel in Gogjibagh.
Besides, Leper colony inBehrar, Psychiatric Hospital and Central Jail in Rainawari were also sanitizedby the Corporation, he said.
During the drive, chemicalswere sprayed to sanitize the areas as a preventive measure to break the chainof coronavirus transmission.
The Commissioner said such drives will also be conducted atother important places besides, various lanes and bye lanes are being sanitizedon daily basis.
