Srinagar Admin holds KCC awareness, enrollment camps

Srinagar, Nov 26: The District Administration Srinagar in collaboration with Agriculture Department and other allied Departments today organised a series of awareness camps at several areas of district including Batppora in Panchayat Block Harwan and Panzinara, Mujgund, Maloora in Qamarwari Block.

The camps were organised to register left out Farmers of these area under Kissan Credit Card (KCC) scheme to achieve 100 percent target in the District.

   

The awareness cum enrollment camps were organized on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad to provide Kissan Credit Cards to all left out farmers in Srinagar District Block to ensure all beneficiaries are covered under the scheme so that they are entitled to the benefits of the KCC.

During the camps farmers were sensitized about the process of registration and benefits of the Kissan Credit Card scheme and a large number of beneficiaries were enrolled under the scheme on the spot.

The Officers of Agriculture Department, besides Horticulture, Animal/ Sheep Husbandry, NABARD, JK Bank Lead Bank, District Coordinator, EDB and officers of other line Departments were present on the occasion to ensure that all uncovered eligible Farmers/ beneficiaries are enrolled for having KCC.
