Transport arrangements for forthcoming Meraj Alam were reviewed in a meeting held here on Tuesday.
The meeting was chaired by Regional Transport officer Kashmir, Khurshid Ahmad Shah along with transporters from Srinagar.
“After threadbare discussions with regard to the smooth transport facilities, the transporters have been directed to make available sufficient number of big buses, mini buses and maxi cabs during Urs days and will display the sign boards on the front screen of vehicle ‘Hazratbal Special,” an official statement said.
The transporters assured the chair that sufficient and prompt transport facility will be provided to the devotees. The J&KSRTC will also run special bus service from Lal Chowk to Hazratbal as per the route plan in addition to routine services and district services, the statement said.
