Senior Superintendent of Police, Srinagar, Imtiaz Ismail Parray has ordered In-situ grade promotion in favour of 257 police officials of different ranks working in the district.
The promotions were approved by the Departmental Promotion Committee constituted for the purpose, said a statement. The promote includes 243 constables and 14 followers, who had completed nine years satisfactory service in one rank and were stagnant in a particular grade.
Felicitating the promoted officials, the SSP extended his greeting to the promotee and their families and hoped that the promotions would encourage workmanship in the cadre.
He exhorted upon them to work with more zeal and zest for betterment of society in general and Police department in particular.
