Srinagar, Aug 9: Syed Abdul Rashid Shah, retired Divisional Forest Officer passed away after a brief illness here on Wednesday.
He was the father of Syed Abid Rashid Shah, Secretary Tourism and Culture. People from different walks of life participated in his Nimaz-e-Jinaza in the lawns of Noorani Masjid Pir Bagh. The Fateha (Chahrum) will be observed on Saturday at 10 am at his ancestral graveyard Mohalla Gupkar Nishat followed by Fateh Khawani at J-55 Govt Quarters Jawahar Nagar, Srinagar. Several social, political and cultural groups offered condolences to the bereaved family.
