The Department of English, S.P College Srinagar, in collaboration with Women’s Development Cell, organized an event in celebration of International Women’s Day.
Prof Nadia Shah from the Department of English introduced the theme of the event “Choose to Challenge”, an attempt to inspire women to challenge life. The programme was presided over by the Principal of the college, Prof. (Dr) Khursheed Ahmad Khan who deliberated upon the rights of women and hailed their indispensable role in the welfare of society. The guest speaker for the event was Shahana Bashir Butt, a journalist familiarized the audience about the immense potential of women and the importance of role sharing in the maintenance of healthy relationships.
