Zainakote Grid Station develops technical snag

Srinagar, Nov 20: Power supply in several areas will remain partially affected on November 20 and 21 due to technical snag at Zainakote Grid station, Kashmir Power Development Corporation Limited (KPDCL) informed.

“Due to technical snag at transmission-level in one of the 150 MVA transformer bank of 450 MVA Zainakote grid station, the power supply to areas fed from grid station shall remain partially affected during the evening and intervening night hours of 20 and 21 November,” reads a circular issued by Chief Engineer KPDCL.

   

The areas where the power supply will remain affected are Rawalpora, Sanat Nagar, Barzulla, Humhuma, Parraypora, Soura, Hawal, Zadibal, Nawakadal, Safakadal, Karan Nagar, Qamarwari, Bemina, Batmaloo, Barthana, Parimpora, HMT, Omarabad, Zainakote, Narbal, Sharifabad, Pattan, Magam and Beerwah.

“However men and machinery of JKPTCL Kashmir are putting all efforts for speedy restoration/ rectification works,” it reads.
