Army men celebrate Diwali on LoC

Rajouri, Nov 5: Amid February 26 ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan, Army men deployed along the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri celebrated Diwali with religious fervour.

In the past years, Diwali often used to remain volatile due to exchange of fire between the troops of both sides and the Army hardly used to get an opportunity for celebrating Diwali in the open.

However, this year, the situation along the LoC gave the Army an opportunity to celebrate Diwali.

“Earlier Diwali celebrations along the LoC used to be subdued due to the constant exchange of fire but this year the situation is comparatively different,” said the official sources.

They said that the Army on the LoC got a chance to celebrate Diwali amid a peaceful situation and that celebrations were witnessed at most Army locations along the LoC.
