Army on Sunday rescued nine persons who were stuck in snow at Dehra Ki Gali road in Surankote here.
A statement said troops of the Thanamandi based Romeo ForceBattalion braved inclement weather and rescued the passengers including fivewomen passengers.
The passengers weretravelling between Thanamandi and Bafliaz Surankote via DKG in a Tata Sumovehicle that got stuck on the road due to heavy snowfall.
After receiving the information, the troops and men fromlocal police stationed at Dera Ki Gali swung into action and reached the siteimmediately and rescued the passengers and the vehicle.
