Authorities on Monday suspended the mobile Internet service in central Kashmir’s Budgam district as a gunfight raged between militants and government forces in Patrigam village of Chadoora.
An official said that the service was suspended ‘as a precautionary measure” to prevent spreading of rumours.
A militant has been killed in the ongoing gunfight with militants in Patrigam.
Reports said that two militants were trapped inside the cordoned off area.
