One Parvez Ahmed Mir son of Abdul Rashid Mir of Batote wanted in various fraud cases has been arrested by Crime Branch Jammu, an official spokesman said.
“The said accused had cheated a number of innocent persons and extorted huge money from them on the pretext of providing job and other benefits.
He is also involved in cheating and extortion of money to the tune of 5 crore 60 lakhs from one Raj Kumar Gupta for which case FIR No. 110/2013 is under investigation with Crime Branch Jammu.
The said accused was also challaned in another cheating case i.e case FIR No. 36/2015 in which he was absconding and the Hon’ble court had issued warrant against him u/s 512 Cr.PC,” the spokesman said. GKNN
