Damaged road repaired at Padshahi Bagh: ERA

J&K Economic Reconstruction Agency (ERA) today said that it repaired a damaged portion of road at Padshahi Bagh here.

Responding to a news item ‘Macadamize roads at Padshahi Bagh published in Greater Kashmir today, PRO ERA said the road portion damaged due to water pipeline leakage was already repaired and restored by ERA on December 28 last year.

   

“Leakage in the water supply pipeline has already been plugged by the concerned field staff of ERA. After repairs the road has been made motorable. Necessary to mention here that J&KERA is executing work on the construction of 12.64 Km drainage network in the Padshahi Bagh- Bonpora area of the Srinagar city under the World Bank funded- Jhelum Tawi Flood Recovery Project at an approximate cost of Rs 28.75 crores,” the statement said.

The statement said till date work on the construction of 6 kms of the drainage network has already been completed. The roads in the areas in which construction of drainage network has been completed have also being restored to their original condition,” it said.

“Although J&KERA is taking all the necessary steps to minimize the inconvenience to the residents during the execution of work, still some minor inconvenience may be caused to the residents during execution of work on the drainage project for which much needed cooperation from the residents is requested,” it added.
