Darul Khair appreciates role of doctors, volunteers

Darul Khair on Sunday expressed gratitude to doctors and healthcare workers who are fighting the battle against the coronavirus on the frontline in Kashmir.

A statement said in the ongoing COVID19 pandemic, all thoseon the frontline including doctors, healthcare workers staff and paramedics,and those adhering to lockdown and supplying essentials, media, organizationsand individuals associated with much needed relief work and all others, need supportand commendation.

   

The statement said Darul khair Mirwaiz Manzil expresses itsgratitude to all these people. “As a social organization we are also assistingin relief work and providing support to medical care facilities,” said thestatement.

It said on the recommendation of doctors, an oxygenconcentrator bank has been created that has eight to 10 concentrators forCOVID19 patients who may need oxygen support either in hospitals or at home.

“Also personal protective equipment (PPE) has been donatedto hospitals and health care workers throughout the Valley. Hospitals inBaramulla, Pulwama and Ganderbal have so far been given around 250 PPEs. MorePPEs are being procured to support the health care workers,” said thestatement.

It said Darul Khair was also distributing food and otherrelief items among the needy, either directly on confirmation of those in needor in collaboration with local masjid committees.

“Most of our relief work is in downtown and adjoining areasof Srinagar,” said the statement.
