DLRC meeting held at Kulgam

District Development Commissioner Kulgam, Dr Shamim Ahmad Wani today chaired District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting to review the performance of banks and line departments under ACP during the Q-3 of the financial year 2018-19.

CPO, district officers of the line departments, LDM LEAD Bank, DDM NABARD, District Coordinators of various banks, representatives of NGOs and other concerned also attended the meeting.

   

The meeting discussed in detail progress and achievements made by the banks in the implementation of various government-sponsored schemes like Kisan Credit Card, NRLM, Housing for all, Handloom, Weavers MUDRA, SHGs, JLGs and Artisan Credit Card.

Giving details about the performance of banks, the meeting was informed that total deposits of the district have increased from Rs 1267.75 crore to 1501 crore as on 31.12.2018 depicting 18.39% increase over the March 31st 2018. It was also given out in the meeting that advances have considerably grown from Rs 973.41 crore to 1121.21 crore showing growth of 15.18% over March 31ist 2018, while CD ratio reached to 74.70% at against 76.78% as on March 31ist 2018 which is above the national benchmark of 60 per cent.

LDM, LEAD Bank informed the DDC that JK bank has opened a branch at Gopal Pora village and JK bank has branch expansion plan at 7 places.
On the occasion, DDC exhorted upon the banks to organise awareness camps about the various schemes in collaboration with concerned departments to increase the credit flow in various sectors. He stressed upon greater coordination between banks and various line departments.DDC also directed the concerned to cover the beneficiaries under various social security schemes which includes PMSBY, PMJJBY and APY.

Banks were also directed to organise awareness programmes in higher secondary schools and colleges so that interesting candidates can avail education loans for further studies.

He also impressed upon the banks and other concerned agencies to provide hassle-free sanction and disbursement of loans under various schemes to people especially unemployed youth.

On the occasion, the DDC released a booklet on Potential Linked Credit Plan 2019-2020 prepared by NABARD which is a comprehensive document detailing potential of district in various sectors.
