This refers to the recently law passed by the Central government regarding the "Domestic Violence of women". It is a fact that the domestic violence is now taking a heavy toll not only in India but in other parts of the world as well. Domestic Violence isn't just hitting, or fighting, or an occasional argument. It's an abuse of power. The abuser tortures and controls the women by calculated threats, intimidation, and physical violence. Many women in India are the victims of domestic abuse. There are many forms and variations of domestic violence. Domestic violence can be Psychological Abuse, Social Abuse, Financial Abuse, Physical Assault or Sexual Assault. Violence can be criminal and includes physical assault or injury (hitting, beating, shoving, etc.), sexual abuse (forced sexual activity), or stalking. The women, being physically weak, are under the total control of men, so we usually call it – "Men dominated society". Like children and old age persons, women are considered vulnerable in the society. Behind this vulnerability of women, is the hand of none but the hand of a man. Besides, women are also being exploited by men now-a-days.
Women are indeed facing physical as well as psychological torture at their homes by their husbands and by their family and much greater by their in-laws. Now the recent law passed by the central government would reduce this menace to some extent. A good step which may help reduce the level of domestic violence.
