Ghazipur, Feb 18: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha Sunday said that educational institutions were the centres of social transformation.
Attending the annual college festival of Shri Jagjivan Ram Inter College, Nagsar in Ghazipur, the LG said, “Educational institutions are the centres of social transformation. It is a matter of immense satisfaction that teachers, students, and college administration are working with the single-minded pursuit of knowledge and vocational training.”
Congratulating the college management, teachers, and students on the occasion, the LG Sinha impressed upon the teaching community to nurture leadership qualities among the students and create a conducive environment to develop lifelong learning skills.
“Dedication, discipline, and determination of youth will help the society to grow from strength to strength,” he said.
The LG also honoured prominent citizens for their significant contributions in diverse fields.
He said that their felicitation on the occasion would inspire the youth to selflessly serve society.
Members of the Shri Jagjivan Ram Inter College management, teachers, students, prominent citizens and people in large numbers were also present on the occasion.
