Rajouri: Healthcare facilities to patients in Community Health Center (CHC) Kandi are affected since Friday evening due to disruption in electricity supply in hospital premises as the transformer installed there has suffered some technical snag.
The matter has reportedly been taken up by health authorities with civil administration as well as power development department.
Officials of health department said that there is no electricity in community health centre Kandi since Friday evening due to malfunction of the main transformer.
“ Several important equipments and machinery of hospital are not functioning due to unavailability of electricity,” said officials.
They informed that some of the vital equipments of the hospital that are lying unused include X-ray and ultrasound.
The officials further said that stock of important vaccines like that of COVID vaccine is lying there in hospital and a need will arise to shift the vaccine to some other location to maintain optimal required temperature.
