Hospital admin denies ambulance for carrying bodies to Valley: Relatives

The relatives of the deceased, who died in a road accident near Battery Chashma, Ramban, Friday morning, alleged that the administration of district hospital Ramban did not provide them ambulance for carrying bodies towards Kashmir.

Pertinently, all the deceased hailed from Kashmir.

They alleged that bodies remained in the hospital for more than three hours in front of the mortuary as the administration turned their request to provide ambulance for carrying bodies to Kashmir, the native place of the deceased.

While talking to Greater Kashmir, the relatives of the deceased alleged that hospital administration told them that the ambulance cannot be provided to them.

“As per the order of director health services Jammu, the ambulance cannot be provided for carrying patients or bodies to the valley,” the hospital administration told the relatives.

When the matter was brought to the notice of district development commissioner (DDC) Ramban, ShokatAijaz, by some people, he took serious note and directed CMO Ramban to provide ambulance to the relatives for carrying three dead bodies to Kupwara.

Later, an ambulance was provided to the relatives of the deceased for carrying the dead to the valley.
