An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted on a road bysuspected militants in Awantipora area of Pulwama district exploded last night,locals and officials said.
A police source said that militants triggered the IED,planted in the middle of road, in Amlar village at around 3:00 a.m. He saidthere was no loss of life or injury to anyone.
A group of local residents told Greater Kashmir that theyheard a loud explosion, triggering panic in the area.
A nearby residential house, they said, suffered some damage. “The blast caused a huge crater in the middle of the road.
