Jammu: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Devender Singh Rana Saturday said that the people of Jammu province were committed to empowerment by being equitable shareholders in the political hemisphere of J&K.
“We are confident that the era of injustice and discrimination against Jammu province will end,” a statement of BJP quoted Rana as saying while addressing a delegation of BJP Mandal Mathwar. “Such a measure will be course correction on the fault lines of the past.”
He said Jammu would no longer accept a role of a second fiddle.
“For achieving the objective of empowering Jammu, no sacrifice means nothing,” Rana said and reiterated people’s resolve to fight for the cause of Jammu and its people, irrespective of caste, creed, and religion.
He said that the ‘Jammu Declaration’ would be for inclusive Jammu and Kashmir, which should get a fair deal on all counts.
Rana said that the firm and visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi holds promise for the people to live with honour and dignity with no one in J&K nurturing apprehension of being discriminated against, deprived, and dominated politically.
