Leopard caught alive in central Kashmir’s Khansahib

Srinagar June 4: Wildlife Department officials along with Jammu and Kashmir Police caught a leopard in Khudpora village of Khansahib in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Saturday morning.

Quoting an official, news agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) reported that the wild animal was roaming in the residential areas of Khansahib locality and other adjoining areas posing a threat for the locals especially children.

   

Mohammad Shaban, a local told KDC that the leopard was spotted in the area after which they informed the wildlife officials.

The big cat was captured without shooting him after the officials cast net on the leopard and caught him alive, he said.
