Jammu and Kashmir State Legal Services Authority on Tuesday approved a compensation of Rs 2 lakh to be granted to the legal heirs of victim in Kathua rape-and-murder case.
An offical handout issued today said that the patron-in-Chief J&K State Legal Services Authority, Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar, who is also the Executive Chairman J&K State Legal Services Authority, on Tuesday approved a compensation of Rs 2 lakh to be granted to the legal heirs of victim in Kathua rape-and-murder case.
It said the amount was the financial assistance in terms of Victim Compensation Scheme 2013 as recommended by Chairman DLSA Kathua.
