This refers to the article "If you're a Muslim". Nowadays everyone is talking about Israel vs. Palestine and other such issues. No doubt being Muslims we should be concerned and much more interested in happenings around us, but at the same time we should also be concerned about the Muslim world. The problem with Muslims is that they don't follow the teachings of Islam. We must emphasize on the importance of being a good Muslim first. When we talk in terms of the spiritual guidance, whatever reforms Muslims have seen, has divided them in terms of different sects. And when has been any consensus among Muslims to come together as an Ummah? And in Kashmir, even after all the sacrifices, we stand divided, our leadership is divided, and this is why people from outside world come and rule us on one pretext or other. Our so-called Hurriyat leaders are busy in playing the blame game and they hardly bother about the plight of the people they claim to represent. Instead, they are busy in settling scores with each other. Some of the leaders claim that it was because of them that the Kashmiri dispute has been internationalized. We need to understand Qura'n and Sunnah in the right perspective and then implement the teachings in our lives.
