Baramulla, Feb 4: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday claimed that it arrested an over ground worker (OGW) of Jaish-e-Mohammad militant outfit in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district and recovered one hand grenade and other incriminating material from his possession.
“Police with assistance of Army and CRPF laid a joint random naka on Sunday at Daulatpora, Kreeri and arrested the accused. During initial investigation, it was revealed that he has been an active conduit of militant outfit JeM operating in Sopore and Baramulla areas,” a local news agency quoted police as having said.
He has been arrested in case FIR number 78/2018 under section 18, 19 UA (P) Act, 3/4 Exp. Sub. Act of PS Kreeri. Further investigation into the matter is going on, the police added.
