PHQ bids farewell to Dr SD Singh Jamwal

A warm send off was given to Dr S D Singh Jamwal, IGP CIV PHQ at a function held in conference hall here today on his transfer. Dr. Jamwal has been posted as Director Sher-I-Kashmir Police Academy Udhampur, recently.

Director General of Police Dilbag Singh while speaking onthe occasion congratulated Dr S D Singh for the posting. He said heading theState’s Police Academy is an important assignment as there lies the future ofour organization.

   

The DGP said that he himself has served in the SKPAU andadded that he has cherished those days as there were lot of things toaccomplish. He said that Dr Singh is a capable officer and rightly chosen formoulding the minds and attitude of 600 probationary sub inspectors. He addedthat JK Police’s future for the next 30 to 35 years lies with Police Academy asthese PSIs would be trained under the able guidance of him as Director.

The DGP assured the outgoing officer that PoliceHeadquarters will always be there to assist him, and academy to provide bettertraining, living and other facilities to the trainees in the Academy.

Speaking on the occasion A K Chodhary ADGP Coordination PHQwished good luck to the outgoing officer and said that as Director SKPAUdhampur Dr. Singh has a chance to shape the future of Jammu Kashmir Policeorganization. He wished good luck to the outgoing officer for this assignment.

Earlier, ADGP Headquarters A G Mir in his address said thatDr Singh is an officer of many qualities and congratulated him on behalf of PHQstaff for the posting. Mir wished him very best for his tenure as Director,Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy,Udhampur.

Dr. S D Singh Jamwal thanked all the officers and assuredthat he will try his level best to improve the training facilities and lookevery option which will be beneficial for the Police organization.

The function besides the speakers was attended by IGP (Pers)PHQ J P Singh, DOP S.M.Kapoor, AIsG PHQ Rayees Muhammad Bhat, MubassirLatifi,Rajeshwar Singh, Dalip Kumar, ManojPandit and other senior officers of PHQ.
