The State Institute of Education (SIE) organised a programme on ‘National Mathematics Day’ to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sir Srinivasa Ramanujan.
On the occasion, the speakers stressed that mathematics should be taught at every level. “It was asserted that the teachers should be properly trained in order to bring back the glory in the subject that has for some reasons been lost over a period of time,” the organisers said in a statement. Joint director SIE Kashmir Mehboob Hussain appreciated the faculty of SIE Kashmir for conducting such programmes.
