J&K Society for Trekking and Environmental Preservation (JKSTEP) celebrated International Mountain Day by conducting a cycling event on December 11. In the event around 60 cyclists took part and it was sponsored by Motorcycle Café, Shalimar. Young cyclists started the event by setting off for a Zabarwan mountain base, from where they returned.
Gereral Secretary JKSTEP, Anayat Hussain and Mushtaq Ahmad Shah owner of the Café spoke in light of “Mountains Matter” on this important day.
Mohd Yousuf Dar distributed certificates to all the participants with the Society’s aim to promote adventure sports and instill love and responsibility with regard to the mountains.
