The district administration Srinagar on Tuesday issued an appeal, asking people not to venture in and around the site of gunfight in Karan Nagar area of the city.
Here is the advisory:
For the safety & security of the general public, it is strongly advised that they SHOULD NOT venture in & around the encounter site at Karan Nagar.
The location has to be sanitized properly by the police & security forces to check for any residual explosive material which may be potentially life threatening.
It is therefore strongly advised that no one except authorised personnel should come close to the encounter site ( in & around ) untill it is declared safe by the police.
