A woman was killed while twelve other passengers were injured in a road accident at Sokar Gali, here on Thursday.
As per sources, the accident took place at about 2 PM when atempo bearing registration JK11 7862, skidded off the Rajouri-Parori road andplunged into a deep gorge at Sokar village area.
A woman identified as Malika Khatoon daughter of Lal Din ofTarkassi died on the spot while twelve other passengers were injured.
Three of the injured were admitted at sub district hospitalDarhal. They are: Mohammad Afzal son of Mohammad Yaqoob resident of Panihad,Zarra Chowdhary daughter of Mohammad Aslam resident of Parori and MohammadHussain son of Salam Din resident of Sokar.
Nine of the injured were admitted at GMC Associated HospitalRajouri. They were identified as: Mohammad Aslam son of Wali Mohammad residentof Parori, Mukhtar Ahmed son of Ghulam Hassan resident of Parori, Anwar Hussainson of Nazir Hussain resident of Sokar, Naseer Hussain son of Mohammad Bashirresident of Parori Gujjaran, Gulshan Iqbal son of Ghulam Qadir resident ofParori, Mohammad Sharif son of Lal Din resident of Methyani Kalakote, IrshadBegum wife of Bashir Hussain resident of Parori, Makhni wife of Noor Hussainresident of Sokar Danna and Mohammad Amin son of Sakhi Mohammad resident ofTarkassi. All the injured are presently under treatment in GMC AssociatedHospital Rajouri.
