Salahuddin pays tribute to slain militants; ‘Informers identified’
The United Jihad Council (UJC) chairman and Hizb-ul-Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin on Tuesday paid glowing tributes to three militants of the outfit who died in a gunfight in south Kashmir’s Ashmuqam area on Monday.

Chairing a special meeting of Hizb Command Council, he said: "The martyrs of Bijbehara, Adil Ahmad Shiekh, Tanveer Ahmad Bhat and Sartaj Ahmad Lone, have laid their lives for Islam and freedom of their motherland. They fought bravely with the armed forces and embraced martyrdom which demonstrates that every Mujahid of Hizb is committed to Kashmir cause and ready to sacrifice his precious life to achieve it."
"The persons involved in spying and informing the forces about the presence of these militants have been identified. They have not only sold their faith but shrunken for themselves (sic) the land in the Valley," the Hizb chief said.
He also paid glowing tributes to Jamaat-e-Islami leaders, Ali Muhammad Mujahid and Sallah-ud-Din QadirChoudhary who were hanged in Bangladesh on Sunday.
LET PAYS TRIBUTE
Militant outfit Lashker-e-Toiba paid rich tributes to militants who died in Ashmuqam area of Anantnag (Islamabad) and Zachaldara area of Kupwara in gunfights.
In a statement LeT spokesman Dr Abdullah Ghaznavi said teargas shelling on the funeral processions of Sartaj Ahmad, Adil Sheikh and TanvirBhat is condemnable and would not be tolerated.
Thanking people for attending the funerals in large numbers, he appealed them "to help militants." (KNS)
