The State Government has released Rs 458.11 crore for electronic disbursement to owners of flood damaged houses, under the Prime Minister's Development Plan-2015 (PMDP), officials said on Sunday.
The break-up of disbursement is: Srinagar (Rs 234.16 crore); Samba (Rs 2.35 crore); Ganderbal (Rs 0.81 crore); Budgam (Rs 39.12 crore); Pulwama (Rs 28.87 crore); Anantnag (Rs 48.94 crore); Bandipora (Rs17.16 crore); Baramulla (Rs17.61 crore); Rajouri (Rs 22.63 crore); Udhampur (Rs 6.97 crore); Ramban (Rs 7.53 crore); Kishtwar (Rs 2.38 crore); Doda (Rs 3.03 crore); Shopian (Rs 7.27 crore); Kupwara (Rs 0.20 crore); Kulgam (Rs19.08 crore).
The financial assistance is being transferred directly bythe respective Deputy Commissioners into the bank accounts of thebeneficiaries through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). A Raj Bhawan spokesperson recalled that in the State Administrative Council meeting chaired by Governor on 25-02-2016 it had been decided to grant financial assistance under the Prime Minister's Development Plan-2015 at the scale of Rs 2.50 lakh for fully damaged pucca house, Rs 1.25 lakh for severely damaged pucca house, Rs.1.00 lakh for fully damaged kacha house, Rs 0.50 lakh for severely damaged kacha house, Rs 0.20 lakh for partially damaged pucca house and Rs 0.10 lakh for partially damaged kacha house. The Governor has directed that the entire amount of Rs 458 crore must be transferred to beneficiaries within 7 days.
