Urging Kashmir traders not "come under police pressure", Kashmir's resistance camp on Thursday appealed Imams and people to offer funeral prayers in-absentia for slain civilians and militants and also hold massive rallies across Kashmir on Friday.

In a joint statement, Hurriyat (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani, Hurriyat (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and JKLF chairman Muhammad Malik said police is forcing traders not support the pro-freedom camp's programmes. "The traders must not listen to them. They must not come under their pressure," the leaders said, adding: "J&K Police has crossed all the limits.  They are hand in glove with the rulers to keep them happy. The J&K police has waged a war against people of Kashmir."

Reiterating the strike call on July 15 (Friday), the resistance leadership has appealed the Imams and people to offer funeral in-absentia for slain civilians and militants. "We also appeal people to hold strong protest demonstrations after congregational Friday prayers," they said, adding: "With this protest, the world must know about terrorism unleashed by India and its forces in Kashmir."

The resistance leadership said in case India sends all the military to Kashmir, "people will fight them till freedom comes."
