As we are heading towards the longest ever mass agitation in the history of Kashmir, one feels that now people more eagerly wait and talk about Deal than the cause for which we have sacrificed so much and people have laid down their lives. But it is not their fault as we were never prepared for this phenomenon and the basic thing for that is we forget things very quickly, We forgot Kunan-Poshpora, We forgot Bijbehara, We forgot Tufail, We forgot Asiya-Neelofar and hundreds of incidents which only found there place in one day Hartal Call given by Geelani Sahab and in Mughal gardens were people throng on those days to enjoy the outing. So the question arises that What we actually want? Do we really want Freedom and what Freedom means to us. There is a lack of Vision in it.

Things are not clear to the common man who earns hand to mouth. Would things get better if he opts for Freedom or not? Our condition resembles to the situation from which the students of class 10th and 12th are going through nowadays, who are pushed to appear in examinations without completing classroom work for the same. Another thing is that do we only want Insha and Junaid to go out and fight for the cause and want Azaadi on there cost? There are hundreds of ways to show protest apart from stone-pelting but we lack discipline to the extent that even when there is a deal in Hartal some miscreants make their presence in addition to the miseries of people.

We call it Jihad when we throw stones and hurl abuse at our own people. We restrain ourself to resume our work out of fear but not out of concern and sympathy towards the people who lost their lives and people who are more eager to die than to remain blind or disable throughout their life.

We often curse our leaders for they have not done sufficient enough for the cause and even comment to the extent that they are corrupt but can we ask ourselves what we have done for the cause? We need to re-consider all the things and think whether we have to move forward forgetting the martyrs to stop more mothers to lose their Junaids and Tufails or retaliate and die for the cause which asks for more sacrifices and Resistance. For later we have to chalk out a complete strategy keeping in view all the aspects and consequences without forgetting things which only ignite when something odd happens. This is the high time to opt for the one and there is no way in between.
