Kashmir is likely to witness end of ongoing dry spell as weatherman has forecast rainfall across Kashmir on Tuesday.

Sonam Lotus, Director local meteorological department, told Greater Kashmir, "We have a good news for people that long dry spell is likely to end. Light to moderate rains are likely to occur on Tuesday evening."

"May be the rainfall would occur for a short time. However, it will be beginning of the ending of long dry spell as light to moderate rains and snowfall would occur for next few days from Wednesday," he said. "On January 4, light to moderate rains and snowfall are again likely to occur across Kashmir. Good news is that the prediction is for good amount of rains and snowfall across the valley," he said.

"On January 5, weather will remain partly cloudy with possibility of rains and snow and thunderstorm at isolated places. But again, on January 6 and January 7, widespread rains and snow will occur across Kashmir," he informed.
