A Rohingaya Muslim was allegedly attacked by some unidentified persons and threatened to leave the Jammu city. Police have registered a case.
SP rural Jammu Arun Gupta said police have registered a case against unknown persons.
"Rohingaya Muslim Karim Ullah, a scrap dealer, had registered complaint that about 10 to 12 people came at his shop and threatened him to leave the city. We have registered a case," said Pouni Chak police- post in-charge sub inspector Sumit Magotra.
Some reports suggested he was also thrashed by the group. Though, it has not been confirmed officially. The unknown miscreants also reportedly ransacked his shop.
Police said about seven to eight families are living near Udhaywala area, on the outskirts of the Jammu city.
The incident happened three-days after Chamber of Commerce and Industry had issued a statement to 'Indentify and Kill' Rohingayas in the Jammu.
