Free coaching for civil service aspirants

The students coached not only availed the coaching free of cost but through “Free Coaching and Allied Scheme” of the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India, they also received a monthly stipend to cover the costs of traveling.

ASCENT's free coaching for the civil services' aspirants this year was a great success as 25 out of its 50 students qualified the coveted KAS prelims. The coaching was conducted at ASCENT's Srinagar centre located at Tulsi bagh, where students received the guidance and training from faculty drawn from the best civil services' institutes of the country. The success is a result of the managements focus on providing the best of facilities to its students and the group's Chairman, Mr. Mohammad Shafi Pandit's special attention to detail. Mr. Pandit ensured that not only did the students get free of cost coaching, but they also get access to the best reading material at the institute. "ASCENT has been organizing numerous awareness seminars and coaching programmes for KAS/IAS aspirants since 2009.  The impact of these activities has been the increased number of aspirants clearing the central civil services examinations and increased participation of our youth in the state civil service examinations. This year we ensured that student receive a comprehensive support from us in the pursuit of their goals. We lost our library which was washed away in the floods of 2014, be we ensured that we create a reading space in our institute, and equip it with the best study material and latest relevant magazines and publications. We conducted the course strictly as per our schedule, despite the harsh winters and other uncertainties."

The students coached not only availed the coaching free of cost but through "Free Coaching and Allied Scheme" of the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India, they also received a monthly stipend to cover the costs of traveling. All the students were selected through an admission test conducted in November which was followed by a round of interviews.

 "This year we also extended our free coaching to around 40 JEE aspirants of the valley through the faculty drawn from RISE, who had a proven track record of unprecedented success in engineering entrance examinations. Around 25% of the students coached qualified the IIT – JEE (Mains), and we are offering these students subsequent coaching for the Advanced exam and other engineering entrance examinations as well. We expect more than 75% success rate from this batch eventually as the counseling for admissions starts." Mubeen Masudi, CEO, ASCENT GROUP remarked.

Now, after the success of its students in the Civil services preliminary examinations, ASCENT GROUP has announced a comprehensive coaching programme for the KAS mains examinations – 2017 as well.
