Rajiv Mehrishi, Union Home Secretary, called on Governor NN Vohra at Raj Bhavan here on Thursday.
"The Governor and the Home Secretary discussed the obtaining security environment and issues in regard to which effective enforcement and implementation are required, particularly keeping in view the continuing attempts at infiltration, cease-fire violations and recurring incidents aimed to cause unrest," a Raj Bhawan spokesman said.
"Mehrishi, who had visited the Shri Amarnathji Shrine earlier in the day informed the Governor about the security arrangements in force observed by him," the spokesman said.
Meanwhile, Mehrishi called on the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti here.
"During the meeting, the Union Home Secretary discussed with the Chief Minister several issues related to the overall situation in the State," an official spokesman said.
