A court here on Wednesday extended the judicial custody of Kashmiri separatist leader Shabir Shah and an alleged hawala dealer till September 27.
Shah and Muhammad Aslam Wani were presented in the court of Additional Sessions Judge Sidharth Sharma through video-conferencing on the expiry of their 14-day judicial custody.
Shah was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on July 25 in a money laundering case of 2005. The ED arrested Wani on August 6.
Wani had allegedly confessed that he had passed on Rs 2.25 crore in hawala money to Shah. The Directorate had registered a criminal case against them under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. (IANS)
