Two girls sustained injuries after unknown persons lobbed a grenade towards a beauty parlour in Pulwama district on Thursday.
A witness said that the device exploded outside the beauty parlour with a bang, causing minor injuries to two girls.
The injured girls were treated at district hospital Pulwama. The blast created panic in the town, with people seen running for safety, the witness said.
Senior superintendent of police Pulwama Chaudhary Muhammad Aslam said that two girls sustained minor splinter injuries in the attack. "Beauty parlour was the target," he said.
Soon after the attack, police and paramilitary forces launched a manhunt to nab the attackers. However no one was arrested.
