Deputy speaker Nazir Ahmad Gurezi on Wednesday apologized to the House for giving wrong information regarding submission of House committee report on SRO 105.

The issue was raised by NC MLA from Sonawari Muhammad Akbar Lone during the discussion on grants of industries and commerce department, who said he, as chairman of the House committee, had

submitted a report to the House, however the government didn't take any action on that.

Eelier, a House committee was constituted to review the SRO 105 as it was apprehended by members that the government was giving contract of sand extraction to the  people from outside J&K.

Today, Lone targeted the government for shelving the committee report.

Meanwhile, Gurezi citing information provided by the secretary of the assembly, told the House that the committee "has not yet submitted its report and what we will discuss in the House?"

"You properly check it and confirm because I have submitted it," Lone replied to Gurezi.

Later, Gurezi apologized and said the House committee report was submitted to the Speaker and was discussed in the House during the last session as well.

"I apologize for giving wrong information to the House," Gurezi told the House.
