88 new services come under J&K PSGA

The State Administrative Council (SAC) which met here today under the chairmanship of Governor, Satya Pal Malik approved the inclusion of 88 new services under the Jammu & Kashmir Public Services Guarantee Act (J&K PSGA).

The services brought under the ambit of J&K PSGA are: Three in Tourism Department, 13 in Industries & Commerce Department, 12 in Handicrafts Department , four in Geology & Mining Department, 27 in Labour &  Employment Department, two in Forest, one in State Pollution Control Board, two in Fire & Emergency Services, one in PW(R&B) Department, four in Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department, one in Finance Department, four in Agriculture Production Department, one in Revenue Department, three in J&K Employees Provident Fund Organization and 10 in Housing & Urban Development Department, an official statement said.

After enactment of the PSGA, 95 services had been notified as public services till date. With the inclusion of these new 88 services, the number of public services brought under the ambit of PSGA has reached 183.

The decision is a step forward in providing timely and hassle-free delivery of services to the citizens across various departments/agencies within a stipulated time frame. Most of the services are to be provided online which shall expedite the delivery of these services, the statement said.  

Transfers, postings in forest department

The State Administrative Council (SAC) approved the following transfers and postings in the Forest, Ecology & Environment Department.

Ravi Kumar Kesar, IFS presently PCCF-HoFF /Chief Wildlife Warden, J&K has been transferred and posted as Chairman, J&K State Pollution Control Board (SPCB). The post of Chairman, J&K SPCB is declared equivalent in status and rank to that of PCCF (HoFF), till it is held by Ravi Kumar Kesar. The charge of Chief Wildlife Warden, J&K shall be held by Suresh Chug, IFS in addition to his own duties.

B. Sidhartha Kumar, IFS, Chairman, J&K State Pollution Control Board has been transferred and posted as Director Ecology, Environment & Remote Sensing, J&K.

O P Sharma, IFS Director Ecology, Environment & Remote Sensing, J&K has be transferred and posted as Director State Forest Research Institute, J&K.

Narendra Pratap Singh, Director SFRI with additional charge of APCCF Planning / Projects has been transferred and posted as Project Chief IWDP-Hills, J&K relieving Sh. S. K. Gupta, IFS, Director (Social Forestry), J&K of the additional charge.

Vasu Yadav, IFS, Chief Conservator of Forests (Central) has been posted as Managing Director, J&K State Forest Corporation against available vacancy relieving Sh. Suresh Chug, IFS of the additional charge.

A. G. Hajam, IFS has been posted as Chief Conservator of Forests (Central) vice Sh. Vasu Yadav. A. G. Hajam will continue to hold the charge of Chief Conservator of Forests Vigilance/FCA till further orders.

K. Ramesh Kumar, IFS, Special Secretary (Technical) has been transferred and posted as CCF Planning & Projects.He shall continue to work as Special Secretary (Technical) with the Administrative Department till further orders.
