A CRPF soldier was injured in a grenade attack by militants on a bunker in Pulwama district Saturday.

A police official said that militants threw the grenade atthe bunker guarding a local branch of the State Bank of India in Washbugh areaof Pulwama.

The soldier, Suraj Chand Narjaray of 182 battalion, receivedsplinter injuries and was rushed to army's 92 base hospital in Badamibagh,Srinagar, for treatment.

"Soon after the attack, the forces cordoned off thewhole area and launched a search operation to nab the attackers," the officialadded.
